New York Fashion Week is a bi-annual celebration of the diverse talent within the U.S., drawing together designers from all walks of life, backgrounds, and cultures. New York City is home to many chapters in fashion history: from the seven easy pieces of Donna Karan and the wrap dress empire Diane Von Furstenberg upon her arrival to the US, to more recent chapters in fashion history like the founding of Proenza Schouler or the rise of Tory Burch.
New York Fashion Week serves as a powerful platform for both established names and emerging talents to showcase their work, highlighting the breadth of creativity that defines American fashion.
Designers tell their stories and bring unique perspectives to the runway, influenced by their personal experiences, heritage, and artistic expressions. NYFW encapsulates the rich tapestry of identities that make up the fabric of the U.S.
Art Hearts Fashion Week fosters an environment where creative minds from all industries converge—designers, stylists, photographers, and influencers collaborate to create unforgettable moments. A testament to the power of fashion as a universal language that can connect people from different backgrounds regardless of dialogues, cultures, identities and political parties. As we celebrated the Autumn Winter 2024 / 2025 season of Art Hearts Fashion Week, Political Fashion brings you a list of New York Designers to keep an eye on this season!

Carlos Pineda
The silhouette of Carlos Pineda’s collection were joyful, architectural, highly technical, and voluminous. The layers of fabrics moved down the runway accentuating, arms, legs, hips, and everything in between while flattering the bodies and playing with tropical colors.
It was interesting to see a certain level of modesty where necklines were not pronounced, but the clothes still were joyful, flattering, and timely.
The fit for menswear was also joyful and tropical, without being necessarily flamboyant or noisy, the garments are tasteful, editorial, and very easy to mix and match.
There is a clever juxtaposition between plates and drapes that makes the architectural silhouettes of the dresses visually interesting and fashion-forward.

Anthony Rubio
Couture fashion for dogs has rapidly gained popularity in recent years, evolving from a niche trend to a mainstream phenomenon. This rise in canine luxury wear reflects the growing humanization of pets, with many dog owners viewing their pets as family members deserving of the same care and attention. High-end dog apparel brands are now offering custom-made outfits, from tailored suits to elegant dresses, often with intricate details like rhinestones, embroidery, and designer logos. The luxury pet fashion industry is being driven by celebrity influencers and social media platforms, where glamorous pets with fashionable wardrobes showcase the latest trends, setting new standards for what is considered stylish for dogs.
Pet fashion couturier Anthony Rubio presented a colorful collection of gowns and joyful outfits for pets.
The personalities that the clothes in the dogs propose are endless: coquette, exuberant, elegant, classic, flashy, eloquent, and the list goes on and on. The opportunities to be as playful or as demure as you want to be are endless when it comes to dressing your dog with fashion couture.

School of London
There was a rich diversity in the treatments of fabrics that we saw on the runway, from embroideries and embellishments to three-dimensional silhouettes that fully encompassed the storytelling with excellent craftsmanship and tailoring.
These young designers are entering an exciting time in the industry, eager to explore the future of fashion with fresh perspectives and innovative ideas. These young designers are driven by a desire to push boundaries, incorporating sustainability, inclusivity, and technology into their work. With the rise of digital fashion, wearable tech, and eco-conscious design, students are preparing to lead the charge toward a more forward-thinking fashion world. Many are experimenting with three-dimensional designs, exploring new materials that minimize environmental impact, and challenging traditional concepts of fashion consumption, such as accomplishing more realistic circular fashion models. As they graduate, there is a palpable energy and enthusiasm to create a fashion landscape that is not only creative but also ethical and adaptive to the changes of the modern world.
In many ways, the collection presented at Art Hearts Fashion Week shows the many possibilities of fashion in today’s world for entrepreneurs. We saw sportswear, separates, dresses, tailored jackets, and gowns. But every piece felt special in some way, shape, or form. Rather than the need to be taken off the rack, some embellishments and treatments made the clothing special.

Mister Triple X
The combination of Western elements with leather, and dark brocades brought together an interesting form of wearing streetwear that gives a nod to the conservative trends we are seeing globally (cowboy hats, knee-high boots, printed bomber jackets, and high necks), but making them less mainstream and more sophisticated and timeless with blacks and dark-toned accessories.

Trends come and go, but the style and essence of Mister Triple X with its timeless appeal transcends fleeting fashion cycles.
Giannina Azar
The dresses celebrate the beauty of women’s bodies assertively with the placement of the embellishments, the seams, the embroideries, the three-dimensional components, and the construction of the dresses as a whole.
There was a playful juxtaposition between rigid-molded-like materials and silky, drapey fabrics. Every design decision looks carefully thought out —from material and color selection to the placement of seams, motifs, and embroideries.
Couture gowns are inherently fascinating for their craftsmanship but when tridimensional elements such as intricate embroideries, trims, or textile treatments are incorporated, they take on a new level of artistry and allure. That was the case with Giannina Azar’s collection, whose gowns one after the other, enhanced the overall design creating a series of visually intriguing sculptures. The embellishments contribute not only to the aesthetic beauty of the gowns but also to the structure and shape of the overall garment.

Raul Penaranda
New York designer born in Cali, Colombia, Raul Peñaranda has presented over 20 collections in New York Fashion Week. This season, the aesthetic of retro glam blended with edgy 90s was the core of his collection of gowns. The color palette —as it has seemed consistently across several shows and red carpets —focused on neutrals, specifically blacks, golds, and silvers. The long sleeves and long cuts give a very peculiar sense of modesty that makes the gowns mature and sophisticated.
With a bright red lip and a high heel, it is clear Peñaranda is dressing a strong unafraid woman who is rising to the occasion and looking spectacular Monday to Sunday.

The many different interpretations of a black dress, a silver jacket, or a leather jacket illustrate the rich diversity of our voices. We all learn and enjoy from each other while appreciating this rich diversity of voices when it comes to the clothes we wear. Looking forward to a brighter and more colorful season where creative voices can continue to use their voice to express themselves.
